Happy 2020! The new year often comes with good resolutions… but what comes with the new decade? Especially when the past ten years can be defined as a period of great chaos? I don’t know about you, but I would definitely prioritize the search for calm and serenity!

I do not seem to be the only one… Guess what the 2020 Pantone color of the year is? Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue. As per Laurie Pressman, Vice President of the Pantone Color Institute,  “It’s a reassuring blue, full of calm and confidence. It builds connection.” I find this quote totally in line with my new year’s resolution, and I will be using a lot of classic blue in my interiors throughout the year!

Although I am really exited, I don’t think I could dare painting the walls in classic blue yet, but the tone can be set with some whimsical furniture. The choices are unlimited! What about this “Smooth Blue Armchair”  found on 1st dibs?

Or the “Block Blue Sofa” by studio Mut?

One of my favorite furniture creators , Hervé van der Straeten has had this color in his mind for some time. He designed the “lustre Hip Hop” in 2015. Who would have thought at the time that five years later this would be the color of the year!

And now I also have an excuse to use this “dipping table lamp” by Marset that I always loved!

Everyone knows the Klein Blue table. It was quite avant-garde at the time, but it became popular and gave its name to this shade of blue. Now, it will become a must-have item!

I can go on and on… so if you had enough of me, you can get off in this classic blue oh! so French Deuche! (2CV):

But if you want more, come visit me! My door is open to welcome the new decade with calm and confidence!
